Adam and Jessica were married at the beautiful Crystal Springs Resort in Hamburg, New Jersey. The details were gorgeous and reflected the fall colors, complete with oranges, yellows and pumpkins and apples everywhere.
Adam and Jessica planned to have their ceremony outside, but it was raining off and on all day. Right before the ceremony was to begin, the rain stopped and they decided to go through with doing the ceremony outdoors. The guests were seated and as we were waiting for the processional to begin, it started to mist a little, but nothing too bad. Just as Jessica was coming down the aisle, the rain started to pick up again, and of course at this point it was too late to move everyone indoors. I admire Jessica for seeing the humor in the situation. Not every bride could handle this, but she did with grace and as we all know, rain on your wedding day is good luck! For me, this marked the first time I photographed a wedding ceremony outdoors in the rain and also the first time I used my reflector as an umbrella to cover the bride! Luckily, I had my assistant, Cindy Davies, there to hold an umbrella over me most of the ceremony! Many thanks to both Cindy and my second shooter, Jordan Van Aken, for all their hard work that day.
Congratulations Adam and Jessica!

I love the next few shots of the wedding guests shielding themselves from the rain...
