Personal | Oliver Quinn has arrived!

The morning of February 19th started with a bang. At 4am my water broke, waking me up from what might have been my last opportunity ever for a full night's sleep. Josh and I went to the hospital, where I was checked in and since I wasn't having contractions on my own, given Pitocin to start the process. By the end of the day, Oliver still hadn't made his appearance and the doctor, Josh and I decided that a C-section was necessary. Oliver Quinn Flanagan was born just after midnight on February 20th, weighing in at 6lbs, 7oz. The next few days were an emotional rollercoaster, with Oliver needing a short stay in the NICU and having a bout of jaundice, but we arrived home together earlier this week and all is well now.

He is the most amazing, most beautiful thing in the world. We love him.

I had the pleasure to meet this little smoosh face today in Brooklyn (check out his cheeks and fat rolls - too cute!). AJ made his debut on November 28th, 2009 weighing in at 8lbs, 13oz. Thanks so much to his Mom, Benita, for having me over, sharing some pregnancy & labor advice, and for the supply of diapers to get us started when our little man arrives! Congratulations Benita & Al!

Stefanie & Eric were married on a beautiful, yet chilly, fall New York day in Prospect Park in Brooklyn. Their ceremony was held under the Oriental Pavilion. The guests were invited to fill their custom designed mugs with hot cider or hot chocolate and snack on authentic New York cookies. The design on the mugs is original artwork by the groom! After a portrait session in the park, we headed over to the Brooklyn Bridge for a few more. Congratulations Stefanie & Eric!

George had the best day of his life on Thanksgiving this year. Although George was thankful that he eventually got a taste of that amazing Turkey, he still wishes he was a little bit taller. I hope everyone enjoyed their day and has as much to be thankful for as I do. Now... on to Christmas!

New York City Dog Photography | Charlie the Bulldog

Those of you who know me, know that I am a sucker for bulldogs. Anything with that many wrinkles and an underbite makes me melt. Today I met the second cutest dog in all the world, Charlie the Bulldog. I have to say second otherwise George will get jealous. Charlie is 5 months old and lives with her Mom, Siobhan, and Dad, Steve, in Jersey City, NJ. She's such a sweetie pie and I'm in love with her little teeth. I hope her Mom and Dad take me up on the dog sitting offer sometime!

Leigh & Steve were married on a beautiful, yet chilly, fall day at The Society Room in Hartford, Connecticut. Leigh & Steve are such an adorable couple - I could have spent all day just photographing their portraits! I am in love with Leigh's wedding dress - an Oscar De La Renta creation, complete with pockets. She matched it up with a head piece from The Savage Cabbage to create a stunning look!
