Welcome Baby Henry!

It's April 1st. Today I was supposed to be on my way to the hospital, getting ready to meet my second little boy. Right about now, we would be checking in for my scheduled C-section. Baby Henry had other plans. He surprised us with his arrival about 3 weeks ago on the evening of March 10th. Josh and I had a long day and were looking forward to watching the finale of True Detective. We put Oliver to bed and sat down on the couch with a sigh of relief (as most days go now). About 10 minutes later, my water broke. I didn't know it then, but the look on Josh's face was not from concern or fear, but more about, "Wait, I want to finish watching this episode!" We didn't have a plan in place for Henry's unexpected appearance. I quickly called my neighbor, who was nice enough to rush over to the house to hang out while Oliver slept and my Dad drove up from Massachusetts. Josh and I headed to the hospital, and within 2 hours of getting there, the doctor had us in the OR. We met Henry Jack at 11:11pm. The sound of his cry was the most beautiful sound we've ever heard. When Oliver was born, he made no sound and was barely breathing. Oliver was whisked away immediately and spent 4 days in the NICU and as you can imagine, the experience of his birth was not at all what I imagined. This time around, we got to hold Henry right away. It was perfect.

Leah Haydock captured the birth for Josh and I. We are so lucky to have had her there to record those memories for us. We cry every time we look at the slideshow. Check out Leah's blog post with photos and the slideshow HERE.

The photo below was taken when Henry was 9 days old.

With Henry's arrival, I'm currently on maternity leave, taking some time to get to know this amazing little human and to let myself recover. However, I am checking and returning emails and phone calls, but my response time may take a little longer than normal.  If you have an urgent matter you need to talk to me about, please send me an email and in the subject line be sure to write "urgent" and I'll get back to you asap. Thank you for your patience during this time!

New Hampshire Senior Portrait Photography | Londonderry High School | Emily

Londonderry High School Juniors - spring is quickly approaching and now is the time to start thinking about (and booking) your Senior Portrait session! Contact the studio now to book yours!

Emily and I met up on a beautiful summer day for her senior portrait session at Mack's Apples. Emily had her hair and done before the session by the talented Shaunna Legatos, so she was ready to rock the camera. Emily didn't take long to feel comfortable in front of the camera, so we were able to capture her natural, beautiful smile and a few dramatic moments too. At our viewing meeting after her session, it was so sweet to see Emily's Mom and Dad with tears in their eyes when we looked through the photos together!

Congratulations Emily and the entire class of 2014!

Massachusetts Wedding Photography | Cruisport Gloucester | Julie and Ricky

Julie and Ricky had a spectacular New Years Eve wedding at The Cruiseport Gloucester. I first met Julie and Ricky at Julie and Bob's wedding last year. When we did their engagement session at an amusement park, I knew their wedding day was going to be a blast. I loved all of the shimmery sparkles Julie worked into the details, including the amazing bridesmaids dresses in gold sequins! Many congrats to Julie and Ricky! Thank you for sharing your day with me!
